Innovative Electronics for 40 Years
Contact: craigjcoley@gmail.com
Electronics has been my passion since I was 6 years year old. I built my first radio at age 7, built my first Geiger counter at age 9, been a licensed amateur radio operator since age 13 and worked as an electronics designer since age 19. I currently hold a FCC GROL with Radar, PGGB063630, and Amateur Extra Class, WB5KUO.
Design projects have ranged from using 10 GHz radar to map pavement aggregate braking potential to advanced LED matrix displays to vacuum tube amplifiers. I have also designed and built an automated EMC laboratory for testing to the requirements of RTCA/DO-160G Sections 16 thru 22 and MIL-STD-461G.
My designs are innovative and commercially successful. I am listed as an inventor on US Patents 6323598, 6489728, 6650064, 6653798, 6670776, 6737814, 7906915, 8222771, 8350493, and 10388470.
As patent laws have changed, I have become more involved with patent searches and targeting patent applications to a specific market. By narrowing the scope of the patent application from many industries to the one or two served by the manufacturer, the chance of the patent being granted improves while providing the needed protection for the intellectual property.
